Opposition Forum for Democratic Change’s (FDC) Hon. Fred Turyamuhweza has vowed to defend his Parliamentary seat at all costs.

Speaking in a televised interview on Monday evening, the Rujumbura county lawmaker stated that he has set up strong structures to enable him floor his opponents.

This comment comes days after his predecessor Gen. Jim Muhwezi accused him for not delivering services to electorates back in Rukungiri.

My people have cried to me several times, pleading with me to contest for the legislative seat come 2021.” Jim said adding that people say that for last years, nothing big has been done since the leader they elected doesn’t reach the fountain of honor for proper lobbying.

However on responding to the claims, Hon Fred Turyamuhweza confidently vowed to trounce Gen Jim Muhwezi for a second time in a raw.

He added that all that the Bush war veteran is saying now are mere kicks of dying horse.

“He was given his time to serve, all he was to merrymake, I have been in Parliament for less than five years but the infrastructure I have put and lobbied for our constituency beats his 25 years of service. He claims that people want him back, which people? Let him name them! May be he is talking about those that used to benefit from him directly.” Hardhearted Turyamuhwezi said.

It should be noted that General Jim Muhwezi Katugugu is a lawyer, politician and retired military officer. He is the former Minister of Information and National Guidance. He had been appointed to that position in a cabinet reshuffle on 1 March 2015, replacing Rose Namayanja, who was dropped from the Cabinet.

He was also dropped in 2016 after he lost the Member of Parliament seat, a move that has left him extremely miserable.
