Teachers and non-teaching staff of Kampala Parents School have agreed to call off their sit-down strike, which began last week over grievances related to low pay and alleged unequal treatment by the school management.
The decision to resume work was made after a meeting between the staff, school management, and businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, whose Ruparelia Group owns the school.

According to sources, the meeting, which took place this evening has resulted in a mutually acceptable agreement, paving the way for the staff to return to work.
The staff had downed their tools last week, protesting low pay and alleged unequal treatment by the school management. The strike had disrupted learning at the school, leaving parents and students anxious.
With the strike now called off, the staff are expected to resume teaching tomorrow, bringing relief to parents and students.
