The Archbishop of Church of Uganda The Most Rev Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu and Mama Margaret Kaziimba have today hosted the Anglican Youth Fellowship Choir and media teams that have been supporting their televised ministry on Sundays to a thanksgiving luncheon in their Palace Gardens in Namirembe, Kampala.
Archbishop Kaziimba commended the media houses for offering free airtime to Church of Uganda every Sunday since March 2020 to date.
“The work you do makes our ministry easier. We are able to reach millions of people using the airtime you give us which is a very expensive offer. That’s the reason I have called you today so that we can have lunch together, pray together and know each other better.” Archbishop Kaziimba.
He further thanked the Anglican Youth Choir that has been singing every Sunday in his palace in Namirembe since March 2020.
“Every Sunday morning you drive your cars, sometimes you walk on foot and come to do ministry with me. You have become my choir and I treasure you. All you do is out of sacrifice because you use your fuel, batteries, instruments and we use your public address system every Sunday and you have never let me down.” Archbishop Kaziimba said.
The Archbishop appreciated Words of Hope Ministries for initiating the idea of online ministry when the lockdown was announced.
Archbishop Kaziimba who doubles as the Chairman of Words of Hope Ministries Uganda applauded their management led by Rev Canon Capt Titus Baraka the Executive Director for offering equipment that is used for live streaming on their social media platforms and for Church of Uganda and sharing with several media houses the link for live broadcast.
He commended the sign language interpreters (Mrs. Olivia Bulega and Mr. Wycliffe Bukenya) for offering their God given talent of sign language interpretation to do ministry to the deaf community.
The Archbishop’s Palace support staff that prepare breakfast and lunch for the teams every Sunday were given cash prizes.
