Uganda’s insurance giant Sanlam has joined hands with world Vision for a noble cause.

Speaking during a press conference held at the Sanlam Insurance offices in Nakasero, it was revealed that the marriage was aimed towards enhancing access to quality primary education in Pader district in Northern Uganda under there Sanlam Blue Ladder School Project.

Sanlam has invested over 670 million shillings to improve the learning environment of several schools in Uganda.

“We agree to the fact that access to quality education in Uganda has not always been a privilege for as many children as everyone would have wanted especially in rural areas in Uganda,” says Gary .V. Corbin C.E.O Sanlam Uganda.

Gary believes reconstructing the education facilities as well as providing education materials to the pupils and also improving the teaching environment for the teachers would improve the performance of the pupils and enable them to confidently compete on the national level.

John Tereraho, Education Technical Lead World Vision Uganda said, “This will go to four schools, three in Pader and one in Agago district in North East Uganda with the first being commissioned on 30th March 2022 in Pader.”

He continued to say that the choice of school was according to vulnerability. “World Vision compliments in her projects the most vulnerable community where children would otherwise not have an opportunity to access a good school,” he added.

John concluded promising that they would be good stewards of every resource and fund given to them.
