NUP Seeks Court Intervention Over Abduction of Eddie Mutwe

The National Unity Platform (NUP) legal team has filed a Habeas Corpus application challenging the abduction of Edward Rogers Ssebuufu, also known as Eddie Mutwe.

Mutwe was allegedly abducted over the weekend, prompting the party to seek immediate court intervention.

NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has reiterated demands for the release of all party members who have been abducted and those still incarcerated.

Addressing journalists at the party headquarters in Makerere Kavule, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu emphasized the need for the authorities to account for Mutwe’s whereabouts and ensure his safety.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about enforced disappearances and detention practices.
