The ruling National Resistance Movement Central Executive Committee (CEC) has endorsed former state Minister for Tourism Hon Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi for East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) to replace the late Mathias Kasamba who died recently.
Hon Kiwanda competed for the East Africa Community Legislative slot with former Kabula County Member of Parliament Hon James Kakooza and Nakato Kyabanji former woman Member of Parliament Gomba County.
Hon Kiwanda joins the 4th East African Legislative Assembly whose term ends 2022 when new Members from the East African Member states will be elected.
Kiwanda has been the Member of Parliament for Mityana North in Mityana District though he never contested again in the recent concluded elections.
