Buliomu Agumye Munne: NUP Gives Nabbanja By Feeding Vulnerable Poor

National Unity Platform has delivered food supplies to some of its people who have been severely hit by the effects of the lockdown.

“As NUP, we have always been reaching out and will continue to reach out and offer support to some citizens who are starving in these difficult times,” the party said on Saturday.

“We are very grateful to all comrades who have supported our efforts to reach out to our people. We are aware that the need is high, yet the means are limited.”

“It is at this point that we call upon all Ugandans that let’s all do what we can to help the needy in these difficult times.”

The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga who also subscribes to NUP had earlier said the Shs100,000 given to the vulnerable especially in Kampala was not enough to meet their needs.

Government started disbursing the Covid relief funds on Thursday to the vulnerable groups to cater for their immediate needs.

“So far people in 6 municipalities have already received their Money. If you have not yet received, it’s coming. Just keep calm,” said Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
