The ruling National Resistance Movement [NRM] Primaries are set for tomorrow, Friday September 4th, 2020.
The party electoral commission wants to warn all candidates who are engaging in electoral violence that they risk being disqualified.
“We are not going to allow people to vote who are not in the register,” said EC chairperson Dr. Tanga Odoi.
“You must be a member of NRM and in the register that is when you will be allowed to vote. I have been hearing in some villages that people not in the registers are allowed to vote. NO!”
Odoi said there will be no adding or subtracting names in the register and that those who are doing it are wasting time.
“I hear they are deleting the names of the dead. Leave their names there; they won’t walk out of the grave and vote.”
He added: “I hear they are deleting the names of the dead. Leave their names there; they won’t walk out of the grave and vote.”
