The Chairperson NRM Women’s League and Mbale City Woman MP hopeful Hon. Lydia Wanyoto Mutende aka BIG Sister has appealed to the Christians to maintain peace and mend relations during the Easter Holiday.
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) women league boss made this comment participating in the walk of the cross with fellow christians across the parishes in Mbale District and Mbale City under Tororo Diocese.
Acccording to Wanyoto, families come together to celebrate Easter, they should use such opportunities to mend relations and unite as one family.
At the same event, Benard Osenda, the Vice Chairperson St. Catholic Church Arch Diocese of Tororo noted that religious leaders and parents should use this opportunity to preach against the acts of LGBTQ saying that the next generation owes us the responsibility to preserve our religious and cultural values and norms.
