Former Kasese District woman member of Parliament Hon. Winnie Kiiza has joined Ugandans hitting nails in the controversial Coffee deal between Uganda government and foreign investors.
Speaking on Thursday night while appearing on NBS Frontline, the former leader of Opposition accused the officials at the ministry of finance for doing faulty research.
She said that the coffee deal is neither good for our farmers nor the investors.
“The deal was done in bad faith, and it is not good for the Ugandan farmer or investor. The government should have consulted widely.” Winnie Kiiza said.
Winnie insists that If the government was looking for an investor to process coffee, they should have advertised it.
” I am sure many Ugandans would express interest in this deal.” She said.
