Uganda’s president Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called for ceasefire in Sudan.
Museveni made this comment while meeting the country’s delegation at State House Entebbe where he said was also briefed on the situation in the neighboring state.
“The Special Envoy of the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Amb. Dafallah Al-Haj Ali called on me at Entebbe and briefed me on the situation in Sudan. I reiterated my earlier advice that they should do away with politics of Identity & concentrate on politics of Interest.” Museveni said.
He added that a ceasefire is critical to allow peace, for people to elect their leaders as owners of the country.
“A ceasefire is critical to allow peace, for people to elect their leaders as owners of the country. The country does not belong to the Sudan Army, it belongs to the people.” He added.
