Uganda members of Parliament have been shocked after revelations that Makindye Member of parliament Hon Allan Ssewanyana and his Kawempe North counterpart Mohammed Ssegirinya were forced to make false confessions.

The pair were arrested and detained after they were implicated in the recent machete murders in Masaka sub-region and we’re subsequently charged with murder, attempted murder, treason and aiding and abetting terrorism.
Now, after MP Mohammed Ssegirinya got hospitalized at Mulago hospital, he was visited by fellow members of parliament who include Hon Francis Zaake, Mathias Mpuga, Ssewungu Gonzaga, Joyce Bagala among others.
From their interaction with Ssegirinya, they learnt of the shocking ordeal the two legislators were subjected to in jail.
The legislator confessed to his comrades that he was injected with mysterious substances, with the recent ones causing him to blackout. He also revealed that the rotting foot was actually out of torture.
However what shocked the legislators most of that Ssegirinya intimated to them that they were forced to make confessions incriminating National Unity Platform supremo Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine as the mastermind behind the Masaka Murders.
It should be remembered that Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana have been denied bail on several occasions ever since they were rearrested outside Kigo prison. Since then, their legal team has been toiling to secure temporary freedom for the legislators but in vain.
