Stop Provoking Me – Museveni warns ‘Big headed’ Bobi Wine

Uganda’s incumbent president Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni has expressed his discontent over the persistent lambasting by his major opponent Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine who has turned it a hobby to keep discrediting his 35 year reign while addressing campaign rallies.

Museveni who was in Bundibugyo on Thursday said that he was not happy with how the 38 year old presidential contender keeps mentioning only his bad side and yet the NRM has registered some ‘achievements’ like the good road network.

“You see that young man is deceiving himself. They say Museveni is bad yet they are using our good roads to do their campaigns,” Museveni exclaimed. “They have no vision for this country. When I look around, I have not seen anyone who can lead Uganda after me. This is why I am still around. I am on a mission not looking for a job. I am not a politician but a revolutionary,” he boasted.

Museveni further reiterated that unlike hus opponents who harbour selfish deeds, he is not in politics to enrich himself but rather serve the people.

“This is just a reminder. I am not in government to get riches or earn a living out of it but rather to serve Ugandans,” he said. “I am a humble man and I don’t want to quarrel with people who provoke me nowadays. My actual motivation for being in politics is security of Ugandans,” he added.

Museveni also said that his dream is to make Uganda a regional or continental military power which is why in his foreign policy, he is looking to strengthening the dominance of the UPDF.

“That’s why I want to build an army of our own people that doesn’t beat them. And it’s the reason as to why our army is in Somalia, a Muslim country and is loved yet the Americans spent a few years there,” he bragged.
