City lawyer Male Mabirizi has run to Supreme Court demanding that Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo excuses himself from the bench of nine Justices currently presiding over Kyagulanyi election Petition.
Mabirizi says Justice Dollo was once a President’s Lawyer whose final verdict in Kyagulanyi Petition shall bear Conflict of Interest.
Speaking earlier today, Bobi Wine threatened to withdraw petition challenging President Museveni’s victory.
He also wants Chief Justice Owinyi Dollo, Justices Ezekiel Muhanguzi and Mike Chibita off the bench.
“We’ll withdraw the case from Supreme Court & take the matter to the Public Court.”
Mabirizi who was now become an expert of petitions, says when he petitined against Dollo in parliament, MPs Kyagulanyi and Medard Ssegona never raised a voice.
“But them and supporters are now murmuring how he is partisan, former M7 lawyer & minister, as if they knew this yesterday & they have no guts to ask for his recusall,” Mabirizi lashed out.
“Owiny-Dollo, you must resign on top of recusal: how do you sign Kyagulanyi’s amendment ruling knowing that you are Museveni’s personal lawyer?”
