Stanbic Bank Uganda has appointed Diana Agaba Tukundane as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, reinforcing its commitment to cybersecurity, digital resilience and customer trust.
The appointment comes at a time when financial institutions are increasingly strengthening their cyber defences to address evolving digital threats and safeguard customer information.
In announcing the appointment, Stanbic Bank Uganda described Diana as a respected cybersecurity leader with nearly two decades of experience in information security and cyber risk management.
The Bank said she has played a pivotal role in strengthening its cyber resilience, protecting critical systems and enhancing customer confidence through robust security frameworks and governance.
Her elevation to the Executive Committee reflects the growing strategic importance of cybersecurity within the banking sector, where digital innovation continues to reshape financial services and customer experiences.
As Chief Information Security Officer, Diana will provide executive leadership on cybersecurity strategy, oversee the Bank’s information security programme, strengthen cyber resilience and ensure Stanbic Bank continues to deliver secure and trusted digital banking services.
The appointment also underscores Stanbic Bank Uganda’s continued investment in strong, forward-looking leadership as it advances its digital transformation agenda while protecting customers, employees and business operations against emerging cyber risks.
