Post Bank Uganda has officially responded to the allegations regarding the circulation of counterfeit currencies at its Mbale branch.
The bank confirmed that reports of fake notes being processed at the branch had been brought to their attention, prompting an immediate investigation.
In a statement released by PostBank management, they acknowledged the seriousness of the matter and emphasized their commitment to maintaining a secure banking environment.
The bank is collaborating with law enforcement and relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the claims and take appropriate action.
“At PostBank, the safety of our customers and their finances is our top priority. We are dedicated to ensuring that all transactions are legitimate and secure,” the statement read. The bank reassured customers that measures are in place to prevent the use of counterfeit currency and that all transactions are being monitored closely.
