Uganda Police Savings and Credit Corporation, EXODUS has Friday donated relief items to families that were affected by a fire outbreak in Katwe barracks.
Led by ASP Lillian Mutesi board member at EXODUS SACCO, the team handed over the items including blankets, bedsheets, mosquito nets, sugar, rice, flour, cooking oil, soap and some fruits, to the District Police Commander Katwe, SP Mworozi Byaruhanga.
The donations were later distributed to the affected officers. On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, a fire gutted 15 homes of officers.
EXODUS made the donation as part of its social responsibility role to its members.
The SACCO has also eased withdrawal of personal savings for all the affected members to help them bounce back.
