President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Abbas Byakagaba as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), succeeding the retired Martins Okoth Ochola.
Byakagaba, known for his extensive experience and effective law enforcement, ushers in a new era for the Uganda Police Force.
Additionally, President Museveni has appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) James Ocaya as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), bringing his extensive operational expertise to support Byakagaba.
