The National Resistance Movement (NRM) vice chairman for Eastern Uganda has said President Museveni isn’t seeking power.
“Gen Museveni isn’t campaigning because he wants power,” said Mike Mukula on Monday.
“He is here to help our country. Uganda is now,” Mukula was speaking at a scientific rally in Paliisa town.
“I can move from Malaba-Busia at night but opposition doesn’t see that.”
“They have eyes but they don’t see; they have ears but they don’t hear,” he added.
Speaking at the same rally, President Museveni said: “For us we don’t look at religion or culture but we look at what you can contribute. That is why we have more unity in politics today than before.”
“Even in the army we don’t look at your culture or religion, that is why with more unity we got a strong army and We now have peace.”
