Today, the Minister of State for Water Hon. Aisha Sekindi inspected Bududa- Nabweya Gravity Flow Scheme in Bududa District.
The Scheme was constructed by the Ministry of Water and Environment through Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department and handed over to the Umbrella of Water and Sanitation-East that is Operating and Maintaining the system.
The inspection activity was also attended by Hon. Agnes Nandutu the Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Hon. Wakino David, the Ministry of Water and Environment Officials, Bududa District Leaders and the Community members.
The construction of Bududa- Nabweya Gravity Flow Scheme was funded by the Government of Uganda, African Development Bank and African Development Bank-Global Environment Facility.
The scheme supplies the following areas; Bududa Town Council, Bududa Sub- County, Nabweya Sub- County, Bushiribo Sub- County, Bukigayi Sub- County, Bulucheke Sub- County, Bushiyi Sub-County and Buwangani Town Council.
