LORD MAYOR Erias Lukwago over the weekend participated in Golden Jubilee Celebration of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Nakulabye, at our Lady of Fatima Shrine, Nakulabye Catholic Church, Kiwuunya.
The celeblration was graced by Msgr.John Baptist Ssebayigga, the Dean of Nakulabye Deanery and Nakulabye Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Simon Peter Lule, who stated that it was special moment of thanksgiving and expressing trust in Devine Providence of the Lord for carrying the Parish through since 1974, amidst roses and thorns.
The Lord Mayor thanked God for the day and the entire Leadership of the Church for nurturing him throughout his education and political career.
He extended special appreciation to St. Cecelia Choir of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine for always honoring invitations to the Christmas Carols at City Hall and further invited them to this year’s carols.
He made a cash contribution of Shs. 1million towards the construction of Our Lady Fatima Building as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The event was attended by the Former Mayor of Kampala Christopher Yiga, MP Shamim Malende, other Political and religious leaders amongst others.
