Kampala International University (KIU) has announced with deep sadness the passing of Hajjat Azida Basajjabalaba, the mother of the university’s Chairman, Board of Trustees.
The university took to its official X account to share the loss and express solidarity with the Basajjabalaba family.
In its message, KIU conveyed condolences and noted the significant role the Basajjabalaba family plays in the institution’s governance and legacy.
The university asked all staff, students and stakeholders to honour her memory in their thoughts and prayers.
Funeral arrangements and further details are expected to be provided in due course by the Basajjabalaba family or KIU’s administration.
