Kampala City won the inaugural Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities (Shanghai Award).
The award that was received by the City Minister for Health and Environment Hon.Olive Namazzi, recognizes outstanding progress and achievements of cities and municipalities around the World in their implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
