National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, has sent a powerful message of loyalty and admiration to the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, on his 70th birthday.
Although Bobi Wine was in London, he couldn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate this significant milestone in the Kabaka’s life.
He recorded a video message congratulating the monarch and proceeded to do an impressive 70 push-ups to commemorate the occasion.
The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows Bobi Wine’s commitment to honoring the Kabaka’s legacy and his role as a cultural leader in Uganda.
Meanwhile, in Kampala, thousands of people participated in the birthday run, which took place in Bulenge, Mengo.
They braved the rains because the Kabaka’s enduring popularity and the love that his subjects have for him.
Bobi Wine’s gesture has been hailed by many as a sign of respect and admiration for the Kabaka’s leadership and cultural significance.
