General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, has boldly declared his intention to succeed his father as the country’s next president.
In a recent tweet, Muhoozi confidently stated, “I will be President of Uganda after my father. Those fighting the truth will be very disappointed!!!”
Muhoozi, who currently serves as the Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), expressed his commitment to making Uganda great, saying, “I will organise and make our country great as Almighty God always intended it to be!!!”
This declaration has sparked intense interest and debate, given Muhoozi’s influential position in the military and his father’s long-standing presidency. The younger Museveni has been groomed for leadership, having held various high-ranking positions in the military, including Commander of the Special Forces Command and Chief of Defence Forces.
