The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Vice Chairperson for Buganda region Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi has spilled secrets for the of top opposition leaders in the Uganda politics.
Speaking while appearing on NBS TV Barometer Akasameeme program, Kiwanda said that politics in the Pearl of Africa of Africa is not run on principles but rather on sentiments, selfish interests and propaganda.
Kiwanda said that several Ugandans now regret voting for people they didn’t even know just because of the political wave inn the central region.
The former State Minister for Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities said further lampooned leaders who also deserted their mother political parties to join other pressure groups.
“If you look at people like my Sister Hon. Betty Nambooze and Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi, they joined the opposition National Unity Platform just to win an election. But I you problems, ask them how that party is being run, and who owns it, they also don’t know.” Kiwanda said adding that the duo were better off in the Democratic Party than they are NUP where they command no influence.
Nambooze who could not accept defeat could not allow kiwanda drive his point intervened and challenged Kiwanda to stop comparing the National Unity Platform to the NRM party where they believe in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit.
Kiwanda’s comment comes at the time Uganda’s leading and youngest political party is still struggling with bad publicity over its principles statements on okaying same sex marriages.
