Fire on Friday evening gutted a hotel belonging to Sheema Municipality MP, Dicksons Kateshumbwa.
Park View Hotel is located in Kicwamba Sub County, Rubirizi District in western Uganda.
The fire is believed to have started from Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The fire destroyed 15 cottages.
According to reports, at around 4pm, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) was burning bushes in Queen Elizabeth NP (as they always do when the rainy season comes close) but fire got out of control and spread.
It burned the safari lodge to ashes, destroying 15 cottages and a restaurant structure.
