The Electoral Commission has postponed the programme for holding of Sub-county level conferences to elect Non-unionized Workers Delegates to the District.
The conferences had earlier been scheduled to take place on Wednesday 9th September 2020 at Sub Counties/Town Councils and Municipal Divisions across the country.
According to the EC spokesperson Paul Bukenya, the reason for the postponement is to enable the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development finalise modalities for registration of non-unionised workers at the sub county level for the Electoral Commission to organise and conduct the elections.
He added that a new programme for the above conferences will be announced in due course.
