We spent the day in Kigulu South Constituency, Iganga District on the invitation of Hon. Andrew Kiiza Kaluya who officially joined the National Unity Platform today.
I was with Hon. Kaluya in Parliament and I have always known him to be a leader who believes in certain values and has good rapport with the people. I am not surprised that he has decided to join us in this cause for liberation.
I am very grateful to the people of Busoga for such a warm reception. They braved a heavy downpour to listen to our message of hope. I used the opportunity to yet again charge our people to position themselves and fight for the future of our country.
I reminded the leaders and people of Busoga that the only way they can put an end to the sickening poverty is to end military rule and establish a society which avails equal opportunities to its citizens.
