Uganda’s leading multimedia institute has finally released the names of the Guild Electoral Commission (GEC) ahead of the student elections.
Poised with a task to vet, and rollout the entire student election process, the new committee takes office with immediate effect.
Among the endorsed officials is Celebrated Radio and Television news anchor Joshua Musasizi Nsubuga who will serve as Vice Chairperson of the commission deputizing Ms. Kalamira Hope an education reporter for the Grapevine Online Magazine.
This commission was unveiled on Monday afternoon by the UMCAT Dean of Students who also revealed that the process will kick start immediately schools reopen after the government 42days mandatory closure.
The New team was warned against conspiring with some candidates and avoid any acts that may tempt their integrity.
