LORD MAYOR Erias Lukwago also Counsel to Mityana Municipality MP Hon. Francis Zake for the second day in a row, appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Rules, Discipline and Privileges over “defamation” allegations made by Hon. Juliet Kinyamatama against Hon.Francis Zake.
The Chairperson of the Committee Hon. Abdu Katuntu indicated that, today’s sitting was mainly to consider the preliminary issues, upon which Counsel Erias Lukwago requested for clarification on the processes, nature of evidence intended to be brought against his client and the guarantee of security in the subsequent sittings, going by what occurred during the plenary in which the Hon.Zake was almost lynched in the house.
The Chairperson assured the Hon.Zake of security and adjourned the sitting to Thursday 9th November 2023 at 11am, when a video recording allegedly containing the infractions will be played in the committee before both parties.
