How Stanbic exclusive movie premiere went down

Stanbic Bank Uganda hosted an exclusive movie premiere for its private and executive banking clients at Century Cinemax, Acacia Mall, as part of the activities marking the bank’s 35 years of positive impact in Uganda.

The glamorous evening brought together high-net-worth clients and invited guests for an experience that blended entertainment, networking and luxury hospitality.

Guests were treated to fine dining, cocktails and giveaways before enjoying a private screening of the latest Spider-Man movie.

The premiere was one of several customer appreciation events organised as Stanbic celebrates its 35-year journey in Uganda under its parent company, Standard Bank Group, Africa’s largest financial institution.

Speaking to guests, Catherine Kakiiza, Manager Executive Banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda, said the bank was committed to creating meaningful experiences that go beyond traditional banking.

“We are a brand that likes to hang out with our clients in the places you actually go, doing the things you genuinely enjoy. Cinema is one of those places. The energy, the creativity and the imagination it’s exactly the world we want to be part of,” Kakiiza said.

She noted that Stanbic’s digital solutions, including FlexiPay and its card services, were designed to make clients’ lives more convenient while giving them access to a wider range of lifestyle experiences.

“With FlexiPay you can pay for almost anything straight from your phone. Our Stanbic cards keep your lifestyle moving, and opening an account with us is now fully digital. We call this A World of More more access, more convenience, more experiences and more support for your journey,” she added.

Kakiiza encouraged guests to view Stanbic as a partner in helping them achieve their ambitions, saying the bank’s role was to provide the tools and confidence needed to build the life they envision.

The event left many attendees impressed by the personalised experience and the opportunity to celebrate the bank’s milestone in a relaxed setting.

One of the guests, Merlin Musitwa, described the evening as a memorable celebration of customer appreciation.

“Stanbic made this feel special from the moment we arrived. It was an evening of great hospitality, good company and entertainment. It’s encouraging to see a bank that values its clients and creates experiences that go beyond banking,” Musitwa said.
