Fashion entrepreneur Bryan Ahumuza, popularly known as Abryanz, has finally addressed the long-standing rumours linking him romantically to media personality and socialite Sheilah Gashumba, saying the speculation has been exaggerated beyond reality.
For years, Abryanz and Sheilah’s close friendship has kept gossip circles busy. Their frequent public appearances, visible support for one another, and natural chemistry often fueled claims that the two were more than just friends.
The rumours intensified further following Sheilah’s breakup with singer Rickman, with many speculating that Abryanz could be her next romantic partner.
However, speaking shortly after the recently concluded Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards, the fashion mogul dismissed the claims and made it clear there is no romance between them.
Addressing Sheilah’s absence from his flagship fashion event, Abryanz explained that not all his friends were able to attend. He added that Sheilah is currently in Rwanda, downplaying any suggestion that her absence carried hidden meaning.
When directly asked about the alleged relationship, Abryanz was blunt.
“Sheilah is not my type, and I’m definitely not her type,” he said, firmly shutting down the rumours. “It’s not a crime to be close to Sheilah. We are all old enough and above 18.”
Abryanz emphasized that their relationship has always been purely platonic, built on years of friendship and mutual respect. He also noted that people often misinterpret close friendships, especially when they involve public figures.
On his personal life, the stylist revealed that he intentionally keeps his romantic relationships private. He said he is comfortable being among the few celebrities whose partner is not known to the public, choosing privacy over constant media attention.
At present, both Abryanz and Sheilah Gashumba are publicly single, with neither confirming any new relationships. While speculation may continue, Abryanz’s message was clear: not every close bond is romantic, and friendship should not always be mistaken for love.
